Updates on my server (VZ44) are often very slow, between 20-50 kilobytes per second. I tested the upload area is the home DSL (2048 Kbps download) and from a dedicated server on the planet is slow. There is no difference if I upload via FTP or SFTP. Download speeds are very good.

I guess this may be caused to a different uplink x downlink port of your home broadband.

BTW, domestic DSL connections aren't meant to perform fast uploads.

But i was thinking that home broadband gives me fastest speed, i was wrong right?

check the temp directory in your profile, delete all the files in it... make sure that you have enough available space in your primary hard drive.. your computer might have some programs loading in the startup or loading in the background.. delete unnecessary program that you dont need.. any program that check that internet while booting..
