Which reseller service should i get?

Postby irfansblog » Thu Dec 10, 2009 11:59 am

I have thought to buy a reseller account and by luck I found many hosting providers who were able to fulfill all my needs. I have checked glowehost.com and a2hosting.com and by my opinion I say that they are reputable enough to trust them. But I’m confused which company should I choose. Can anyone help me?

I have just checked the a2hosting plans for reseller hosting. I think they have decent prices for their plans. Also they are not overselling on their reseller plans. If i were to choose from these two then i'll go with a2hosting.

I worked with reseller accounts before, I would recommend paying a small difference for a VPS hosting instead of a reseller account based on shared hosting, Copahost for example. You will have your dedicated IPs, and one of the greatest difference - your own mail server, with no other sites sending SPAM.

SiteGround is pretty good. They're established and reputable so it's easy t get some takers. Same goes for byethost. They're mostly known for their free hosting services but they offer upgrades and a lot of people get sucked into upgrades because byethost offers A LOT for free and since their site is already established on one server, they prefer to keep it there.

A "reseller" is someone who sells the phone service under their own name(I.E. MCI Worldcom a few years ago) but the bills from the actual carriers was sent to MCI who then made their own bills. Most likely you can tell by the service who it is, as most don't mod the phones in any form. If your "reseller" uses Cingular, then the phone should say Singular, unless they've modded the name.

Reseller would charge Service Tax or VAT from their customers. Set on and set off procedure will be adopted by you and you will pay to Govt. the net of Tax received and paid. The reseller must be a registered dealer with Service Tax and VAT Deptt.

I signed up directly through their website. However, I have Dish Network too (only because I have no other choice) and I HATE it! It's very expensive and their hidden fees are a mile long list. (i.e. - if it isn't constantly connected to your phone line, so you have the option of ordering PPV, then they charge you a fee) It's very complicated to maneuver the guide, and recording shows. You pay extra for public channels, it's always losing connection, and unless you get the huge channel package, you virtually have nothing to watch. Not to mention, there is no On Demand for the movie channels like HBO and so forth, so unless you plan ahead to watch a movie, you usually end up catching it in the last half-hour.

Original importer of software like Oracle, charge service tax(under Right to use) and VAT/CST to a reseller. When the reseller invoices a commercial customer, can he also charge service tax(Under Right to use) and VAT/CST and get a set off for service tax and VAT separately?
