Fantastico at a reasonable price

Postby irfansblog » Sun Dec 13, 2009 9:25 am

After fighting from many problems with installation and their IP licensing, I may like to switch to fantastico. From where I get it on a monthly lease and for a reasonable price, as well !!

Looking for fantastico installation for your dedicated server ?

It´s gonna be easy now!

You will find information about changing your wget. Click on the link to: http://www.netenberg.com/forum/index.php?topic=5430.0

First you will need to change your wget, follow instructions in the second link I sent here. (just copy and paste full block of commands, it works perfectly).

Now install fantastico - same as wget just copy and paste full block of commands from the FIRST link I sent you.

Don´t forget that you need the license active before installing ;)

Follow installation instructions inside your WHM, all done :)

I just installed wordpress using fantastico in cPanel, but when I log into the admin section of my blog wordpress tells me I am only using version 2.5, when the latest version is 2.62. Does anyone know if there is a way to update the wordpress account through fantastico (I haven't put anything on the blog yet), or do I have to do it manually?

Beside 000webhost, cause they are down for maintenance for who know how long.

There's very few free video-editing programs, if you can use Movie Maker have a look at VideoPad, it's really quite good when you know how to use it (it's fairly straight forward)..

We have both Fantastico and Softaculous with Softaculous being offered for about a week. Softaculous seems to be better thus far they actually update their scripts. Fantastico takes forever to update scripts so it's a real issue if say there is a major exploit for a specific script offered.
