I always worked with PHP running over DSO on a cPanel dedicated server. Last weeks I made a test on CGI, resuming what I got from the test:
Good
- emails are sent by the user on mail(). Darkmail CGI´s can be blocked on WHM disallowing nobody to send mail. One problem solved - less SPAM, less RBL.
Bad
- Slow. Working with DSO uses less CPU, you can do more on server.
My choice:
Go back to DSO, the server could not serve its load. I would have to pay much more for the same service.
Please give me your opinions and choices. And reasons
